![]() Direct SD card import in a fully- or semi-automated fashion without requring an app. Battery powered storage of 500GB or more that doesn't require a computer. It seems this was a relatively popular concept only a few years ago, but I literally cannot find an available alternative that does the 3 things I need, namely: Gnarbox looked like a possible alternative, but I dislike the fact it requires an app to function, and it also looks like the company has gone down the gurgler just recently. except that it seems discontinued, the only place that has stock is B&H and they wont' ship it internationally due to containing a lithium battery. I really like the look of the Nexto DI NPS-10, seems perfect. Ideally I want a portable backup SSD that I can plug an SD card into and have it automatically back up the contents of the card, so that on my return home I can plug the SSD into my PC and download my work. So I'm looking at a cloudless workflow that doesn't rely on a) storing the data on my phone, as I only have about 20GB of free usable storage on the phone, or b) having a computer available. I guess technically the import is fine, it's the upload to the cloud that's unusable, it takes at least 30 seconds and up to 2 minutes for each indvidual RAW file to upload, which for 100+ photos at a time means waiting many hours for photos to upload. I find the import from SD card to Lightroom Mobile unusably slow. I also have no intention of taking my computer, and I don't have a tablet etc, so the only digital device I'll have is my phone (iPhone 11). ![]() All going to plan, we hope to travel for 5 weeks in September/October and I plan on taking loads of photos. ![]()
